The Soul of The Great Bell

The Son of Heaven had instructed an official Kouan-Yu to create a bell that would be heard for one hundred li. Kouan-Yu and his laborers worked hard to finish the bell. They showed it to the Son of Heaven but the Son of Heaven was disappointed for the metals failed to mix with each other. They tried and worked harder for the second bell but it was the same. The Son of Heaven was frustrated and ordered the death of Kouan-Yu if he cannot produce the bell on his third try.

Ko-Ngai, daughter of Kouan-Yu was afraid of his father's fate so she had consulted an astrologer to help his father. The astrologer advised that it will only be successful if a maiden will be melted into the crucible. So on the day of the third casting of the bell, she leapt in the crucible. Kouan-Yu was devasted however, everyone was surprised because the bell turned out to be more beautiful than the Son of Heaven had wished for.

Intro

This story was written by Lapciado Hearn he was a international writer, who is known best for his books about Japan, especially his collections of Japanese legends and ghost stories. The characters of the story are Ko- Ngai, Daughter of Kouan-Yu and the one who sacrificed herself.  Kouan-Yu, a worthy mandarin and father of Ko-Ngai. Yung-Lo a God leader who was interested in keeping his kingdom at peace. Celestial August, the son of heaven.

This blog will talk about the Soul of the great bell on Beijing, China. My opinions are also included. Pictures are also found in this blog.

Body

The story was entitled the soul of the great bell because according to my research in brainly.ph I found out that the meaning is because Ko-Ngai sacrificed herself to save her father and to make the great bell. And she sacrificed herself. And also, that's why whenever they will hear the sound of the bell, they'll say "That’s Ko-Ngai crying out for her shoe" because the people knows the history behind the great bell and for me. The saying symbolizes the love of Ko-Ngai towards her father and it is really thoughtful for everyone that they appreciate the effort of Ko-Ngai and her dad.

This story is fun but I don’t like the story a little because there is so many girls in Beijing that is a virgin, and the one who leaped was Ko-Ngai. Ko-Ngai does not deserve to die because she is a kind and a loving daughter. I could suggest anyone that is willing to sacrifice their lives for Kouan-Yu the official in Beijing to sacrifice them selves to save the life of Kouan-Yu and offer something to the family of the one who sacrificed to thank their loving ang kind hearts.

Conclusion

Before, I thought stories are just for kids, but when I read this story I’ve changed my mind because I have learned something. I have realized that sometimes we just have to sacrifice anything just to save or help others. Sacrifice takes great big responsibility.

Open Letter

                                           An open letter to parents:

           Parents. Parents are the one who let you grow with a happy and successful life. Parents do everything to keep you happy when you're down. They make sure that you keep smiling. They give you all your needs to keep you strong and healthy. No other love can compare to the love of our parents. Their love is the best, strongest and never ending love. <3

            In my 14 years of existence, I've never experienced that my parents let me down. They always take care of me when I, myself can't even take care of myself. They have been supportive with all the things I want to do. Though sometimes, they don't allow me to go else where, but I know that it's for my own good. They may be strict, but they're being strict to show that they care and love you.

Autobiographical Incident

                                       I Hate School

                                     "I Never care for school" I said

       I hate school, I don't like school. I never wanted to go to school. I hate doing assignments,projects and school activities. I don't care about anything related to school. I don't like to wake up early just to go to school. And I always thought that school is nothing and it can't help my future.

    After being lazy and not doing my assignments,project, I've never tried having good grades, I thought that is I study more maybe I could have a chance to get a passing grade. But the only my brain is working and my actions are still the same. I am just too lazy.

  

     My parents caught me not doing my part well as a student and they punished me. They have not let me do what I want to do. I felt bad because they spent a lot of thousands just to send me to a expensive private school. Then it came to me that being lazy is the most wrong thing to do inside or outside the school. I apologized to my parents. From then on I take school seriously; at the same time I had fun.

     Everything has changed after I did my part as a student; My parents trusted me again and they have forgiven me for what i have done.
